About My Book
In the fall of 2017 I started really thinking about my sugar addiction and knew I needed to make a big change. I read an article that said in order to beat sugar addiction you have to give up all sugar and all flour. This resonated as true for me but I was scared and didn’t know how to do it. I looked for a book or companion guide to help me but couldn’t find anything more extensive than a temporary diet plan or detox—both of which I knew would not be what I needed in order to make lifelong changes for myself. I decided to commit to one full year of eliminating all sugar and all flour before giving up on myself forever. I searched for a book about sugar addiction and was hoping to read about other people’s experiences but couldn’t find anything that went into depth about the day-to-day reality. I decided to write my own book about my journey to help keep me accountable along the way and hopefully inspire and encourage other people like me that were struggling and didn’t know where to turn for help.
